There is one thing missing from this film in my opinion. Although little Arthur is brave and clever, and the princess is intelligent and beautiful... each main character has its own characteristics. The whole story is about a group of people who fight against the evil M, fight against the bad realtor and win. However, I am neither happy nor saddened.
I think that's where the whole movie fails the most - it doesn't resonate with the audience.
Of course, some details are worth paying attention to, such as Arthur's parents neglecting their children, so that Arthur's birthday wish is to be able to celebrate his birthday with his parents in the coming year, and Arthur's parents ignore the child's beginning to report as soon as they hear that there are gems in the garden... They all satirized some social issues.
