Today I revisited last year's Academy Award for the best animated short film "Baby Bao" and found some details: 1. The first shot of the film swept across the photos and calendars on the wall, more of which were of their sons. From the single-person photo and the family photo of a family of three, it is not difficult to see that this family actually has a son, but the son is not at home, and the reason is unknown. Explain that the package baby is just a concept of the mother. And note that it is March on the calendar, and the 1st is Monday (echoing the end) 2. From the building and the Canadian flag on the refrigerator that my mother pushed out the window, we can know that this is a Chinese family living in Canada. It also implies the estrangement between traditional Chinese culture and Western culture (echoing the strong ideological conflict between baby and mother) 3. "I❤️Mom" is posted on the refrigerator, which is really Chinese-style parents. When we were young, our parents were our heroes. We talk about our love for them and draw on them. Although they are clumsy and naive, they are the pride in the eyes of our parents. They remember your immature strokes, every movement and every expression. No matter how old the child is, it is a baby. The married son in the film is regarded as a "baby baby" by his mother. 4. When the son comes home and sits on the bed, the bed has Slight trembling and rattling (good Pixar dad detail!) 5. The ending calendar is still March, and the mother's clothes are the same day and night, indicating that the son had been with his fiancée the night before because he wanted to leave the house and live with his fiancée. Mother quarreled and left home. The whole story is actually the mother's thoughts on the second day after the quarrel, and the son will come back in the evening to apologize~
6. There seems to be Laoganma chili sauce at home? I didn't see this clearly haha. Anyway, the visual effects, details and music of Pixar are really amazing. A short film can be so detailed, applauding? The content~ I think it is very real and very tear-jerking. Some people say it's kind of scary, scary, but if you're from a mother's point of view, you don't think so~~
