Fresh first love story

This is my third favorite after cmbyn and skam

The film tells the first love story of a teenager who has been blind since childhood

Very innocent, fresh, warm, ordinary and special

There is no bloody homophobia in the movie, the misunderstanding is not clear, the abuse is light, everything is light, and the ending is light and beautiful

The most impressive scene is leo's dream and discovering that he never imagined what a blind man's dream would be like

There is no clear picture in the dream, the blurry black and white image (p1) I suddenly feel sad, the world is black from birth, even the dream is dark

What moved me was the girl giovana who has been with leo all the time. She likes leo, but after learning that leo likes gabriel, she let go and is still good friends with them.

Later, leo came out to the classmates who bullied him. His bravery really surprised me. Leo pursued a normal life and did not regard himself as a flawed person who needs to be taken care of all his life. Pursue independence, dreams and goals. This is enough to be respected and admired. Gabriel has also been supporting him by taking him to the movies, watching the eclipse and even teaching him to ride a bike! This is true love

The Way He Looks quotes

  • Giovana: [watching Karina meet Gabriel outside the boys' bathroom] She's such a slut, isn't she? There. She's made her move. She is all friendly, talking to him, playing with her hair. She touched his shoulder, Leo. And his hand! She doesn't even know if he's washed it.

  • Carlos: I was thinking about the exchange program you talked about.

    Leonardo: Really?

Carlos: Really, but you can't talk while you're shaving.

    Leonardo: Sorry.

Carlos: I'm trying to understand your desire to go so far away. I think it's natural, especially at your age, to want to see other places, meet new people, make other friends. I think it's normal, but I also think it's very natural to fight with your parents. I was like that, too, but it's too extreme to leave the country to run away from the fights. You know... I'm thinking about talking to your mother about the program, but first I need to understand if you want to go for the right reasons. Do you agree, Leo? Do you agree?

    Leonardo: Can I talk now?
