This is the first Russian film I've ever seen, and there's a strange familiarity to the factory scene presented in the film. The factory where my father worked when I was a child seemed to be imitated according to the industrial aesthetics of the Soviet Union, with green floors and green baseboards... For me, who grew up in the staff dormitory, the worker dormitory in the film is bright and beautified. But it still brings me a sense of intimacy, especially the bulky wooden wardrobe inside, which has accompanied me for sixteen spring and autumn...

I also like the thinking about the meaning of life and happiness in it. The gentle but stubborn machismo and the stereotype of the happy destination of women are shown in the form of dramatic utopia. It is an example for a female worker to grow up to be a factory director of a large enterprise, and it is also an example for an ordinary fitter who has read poetry and books and lived a happy life. But isn't the great significance of the movie to maintain people's expectations and fantasies about beautiful things? It always reminds us that even if life is muddy, we must look up at the stars, struggle ceaselessly, keep expectations and hopes, and ask for the meaning of life...
