It's still the familiar style of Hayao Miyazaki's studio. The overall picture is definitely not to be said, the colors are rich and contrasting, but the plot makes me a little disappointed. The first half of the movie is really fascinating, Mary's first entry into a magical world where everything is new and interesting. But with the development of the story, the unveiling of the magic flower, and the exposure of the evil side of human greed, the tone of the movie becomes dark, dull and tense. The former good-hearted red-haired witch is not as magical as the life of the greedy abbot. Regarding the injured animals in the experiment, the end did not make it clear their final outcome. It may be that the expectations are too high. This movie is more suitable for children to watch, and it is not as memorable as movies such as Castle in the Sky and Valley of the Wind.
