Jane Eyre is a novel written by the British female writer Charlotte Bronte in the early and mid-19th century. It is an autobiographical work. The work tells the story of a British woman who became an orphan from a young age, who constantly pursues freedom and dignity in all kinds of hardships, insists on herself, and finally achieves happiness.

In the 1970 version, the female protagonist was older, which made people play a little bit; on the contrary, the female supporting role was more beautiful, and the interaction between the female supporting role and the male protagonist was more clearly expressed. The scene at the end of this version is very well performed, and the male protagonist's awkward mood "is worried that the female protagonist has married someone else and expects the female protagonist to stay". The picture on the chair is beautiful.

The 1996 edition is my favorite. The heroine is in line with my expectations, self-esteem and self-love, calm and self-control, tenacity and restraint, and rich emotions. Compared with the 1970 version and the 2011 version, the handling of the plot is more natural, and the causes and consequences are more clearly explained. The image of Fairfax, the butler in this version, is well-shaped, kind and dutiful.

The 2011 version, the overall plot is very similar to the 1970 version, but the tone is darker. This version of the male protagonist is quite handsome, and he is very good at flirting. The portrayal of the heroine is rather cold and unreasonable, especially in the scene where the housekeeper reminded her not to indulge in her feelings, the heroine's performance is more capricious, which deviates from the Jane Eyre I understand.
