dare not judge

I can't say if it's good or bad until I fully figure out what they're really pointing to.

But it really blew me away.

I just feel that the confused state of mind of the protagonist is very similar to me. We search for the essence of the universe day and night, just like a mayfly perceives the information of a tree. How can it be that easy, it must go through conflict and struggle, unable to struggle, about the world, society, science, politics, religion, art, history, when people's minds are messy and don't know where to start, they will become directors. Inconsistent babble.

Look again.

I don't watch many movies, among which this is the one with the most information, the most profound content and the most bizarre form. There are many topics in it, such as dreams and reality, free will, self-awareness and existentialism, etc. I have thought about it since I was a child , or discussed it with others. Seeing this, I smiled relieved. However, I rarely thought about more parts of the film, which increased my confusion about the world. In addition, the supernatural color of the whole film made me feel A little disturbed.

When I watched it in college, I thought it was an ordinary cartoon. I only chose to watch the content I liked, and I basically dozed off the rest of the time. Later, when I read it again, I still felt it was very brain-consuming, with a lot of dialogue, but every word and sentence should be carefully comprehended and understood repeatedly. It's not too much to watch it several times.

Waking Life quotes

  • Boat Car Guy: I feel like my transport should be an extension of my personality. And this is like my little window to the world... and every minute's a different show. I may not understand it. I may not even necessarily agree with it. But I'll tell you what I've accepted: just sort of glide along. You want to keep things on an even key, this is what I'm saying. You want to go with the flow. The sea refuses no river. The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving. It saves on introductions and goodbyes. The ride does not require explanation - just occupants. That's where you guys come in. It's like you come onto this planet with a crayon box. Now you may get the 8 pack, you may get the 16 pack but it's all in what you do with the crayons - the colors - that you're given. Don't worry about coloring within the lines or coloring outside the lines - I say color outside the lines, you know what I mean? Color all over the page; don't box me in! We're in motion to the ocean. We are not land locked, I'll tell you that.

  • Guy Forsyth: The trick is to combine your waking rational abilities with the infinite possibilities of your dreams. Because, if you can do that, you can do anything.
