Regarding whether the protagonist of the ending is out of the loop, the big guys have all analyzed why they came out or why they didn't come out.
I will simply say that if I escaped in the end, why not just end with a long-term view on the highway or other shooting techniques, at least there is no need to mislead the audience's interpretation of the ending
It can be seen that this is at least not an open ending. Like the last top of Inception, it fell! The director gave a close-up that must have its meaning, not just how you understand it
The last paragraph of the film about gasoline and the close-up of the birds flying in the distance are all to tell us that they are still in the loop and not out of the loop.
