as a chorus/Akabella Fast 10 Years People, spent two weekends watching the legendary "Pitch Perfect" and "Pitch Perfect 2" respectively. In general, I think these two Pitch Perfects are both very inspirational and positive youth films; if you read it from the perspective of chorus, it seems that there will be more highlights worth paying attention to:
First, the two Pitch Perfects are about choir life. Part of the description is true. Choirs, especially Akabella, have developed rapidly in China in recent years. In the past, a school usually had only one school-level choir and one or two improvised Akabella groups, but now one There may be five or six akabella combinations in the school, and some cities even set up akabella a cappella clubs. If there are more people, the team is naturally not easy to bring along. The chorus is indispensable for the annoying things of "intrigue", and the competition between the Akabella groups is naturally indispensable. Of course, what I call "intrigue" is actually all Quite simple things, not up to the level of work, nothing more than "I think you are not as good as me", "I don't like your arrangement", "I don't agree with your taste in music" and so on. Like in Pitch Perfect 1, Anna couldn't understand the traditional chorus singing style of the older generation Bellas. To put it bluntly, in chorus, only those who can play together will choose to sing together-they can't be forced, skills and abilities are of course very useful, but the chorus is really too strong. In practice, every year the choir will "eliminate" many people who are "unsuitable for chorus". It is not that they can sing badly, but that they are better at solo singing than chorus, or that they are better at and willing to show. Own (not as a whole) singing-this is naturally understandable, just as Bumper finally chose to be John Mayer's assistant in Pitch Perfect 1 and instantly broke away from Troublemaker. I think this is the "boundary" between chorus and solo. Bar.
Secondly, from the perspective of Akabella music, the two Pitch Perfects show the development of contemporary Akabella art well. Among them, Pitch Perfect 1 embodies the victory of the mixing/arrangement art, and even the subversion of the traditional a cappella singing method that pursues a beautiful chorus. The Troublemaker in Pitch Perfect 1 undoubtedly represents the current mainstream Akabella group. Features-A great B-BOX and a great large male can reach half of the group. This way of interpretation is very good to realize the connection between Akabella and contemporary pop music, and it is easier to be taken by the audience. Acceptance also allows Akabella to sing to break through the weakness of "restricted types of songs to sing". Bellas also finally defeated TROUBLEMAKER after adopting Anna's mixing and arrangement opinions and joining the B-BOX of the Korean girl.
Pitch Perfect 2 even played the mixing and arrangement of Akabella to the extreme. The B-BOX of the German group "DAS SOUND MACHINE" can be described as "shocked as a heavenly man", which can be supported by one person. There was a group of twenty or thirty people, and it was no different from the real musical instrument. The division of tasks in the German troupe is very clear. One male and one female SOLO, B-BOX and male low base. Others are basically singing and dancing. Their most shocking point should be the uniformity that is similar to "mechanization".
I am very happy to see that Pitch Perfect 2 returned the chorus to her original attributes at the end. Bellas defeated the German group with the most essential attribute of chorus-HARMONY ("harmony"). HARMONY may be a traditional classical chorus from its roots. What we are pursuing is the perfect fusion and unity of human voices. The whole choir sings like a person. This effect is obviously not replaceable by any modern technology. It requires everyone who sings to be familiar with each other and understand each other’s voices. , And willingly weaken and adjust his own voice for the overall voice. Speaking shallowly is the fusion of voices; speaking deeper, it is an attitude and spiritual power to deal with things.
The appearance of the last Bellas veterans undoubtedly represents another spirit of the choir-"inheritance". In this world, finding a few people who can sing with oneself is as difficult as finding a partner, so choir members After graduation (even after being a wife or mother), you may often return to the group to continue to play the remaining heat. Even if you have not seen each other in ten or twenty years, the tacit understanding between each other can be quickly established through a single song. DAS SOUND MACHINE's "modern industrialization" atmosphere, I think Bellas's singing can better show the core charm of chorus-this may be the reason why they finally defeated DAS SOUND MACHINE.
Looking forward to Pitch Perfect 3.
