Evening - the afterglow of the night

A poster of infinite elegance is enough to draw me in. The movie is bought and watched back. Although I understand the middle-of-the-road evaluation, mother-daughter, memories, and a large number of acting groups are the driving force for me to keep looking forward without hesitation.
Sure enough, it was unsurprisingly ups and downs, and it maintained a middle position of three stars in my heart from beginning to end. Pictures, music, and even moving, all did it. It just feels like something is missing, or it’s too late to go deep and say it all.
Claire Danes, it was eleven years ago that Juliet was so tender and budding. For ten years, he has not left his sight but has never had a deep position. She is the real protagonist in this movie and the biggest highlight in my opinion. The scene of meeting Harris in the rain made Ann, who is already a married wife, extremely moved. I heard that the first choice for the character is Keira Knightly, in that case, I may like this movie a little less.
Toni Collette and Natasha Richardson are also not the best among the 40-year-old actresses, but there is no doubt that they are above the standard. The rivalry between them and their mother that I wanted to see was not as exciting as I expected. The latter's few scenes and the former's second position in the cast do not have much room to play.
The elderly Ann played by Vanessa Redgrave is basically completing the task. The more famous Meryl Streep and Glenn Close are willing to be green leaves, it seems that the director's appeal is not small. For another actor Eileen Atkins also did not have much impression.
As for the two niche students, Hugh Dancy plays the emotionally complicated Buddy, which is quite remarkable. Patrick Wilson has always been dull and numb, and doesn't like it much.
It is worth mentioning that there are two pairs of mother and daughter among the actors. Meryl Streep and daughter Mamie Gummer, who played the same character in both eras. Natasha Richardson and her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, are still a mother and daughter in the film.
It may be difficult to use a movie to recall a woman's life when she is dying. The clear and elegant style of flowing clouds and flowing water is like it, but it is impossible to find a balance between the love that never ends or the identity of the mother after missing the favorite. My favorite is the title of the film, evening, which tells the story of a night that changed my life forty years ago, and the night of my life.
But come to think of it, that is also the credit of the original novel.
