liberation of the nation

The first time I saw this movie was when the teacher talked about it in class, so we used the form of a movie to let us feel the past years.

The "Exodus" in the Old Testament of the Bible is used as the blueprint for film creation. In this story, deletions and innovations are made to show the contradiction between these two nations. Although there are changes, I also feel that this film not bad.

Moses went through many ups and downs from being an Egyptian prince to the leader of the Hebrews. The Egyptian pharaoh who enslaved the Hebrews had no choice but to turn against his former brother for the liberation of the people of his own race.

Believe in God, and with faith there is power. Moses used his own power, and God's power, to protect his people from harm.

The last scene was really shocking. Believe in the power of faith to make the impossible possible. Moses eventually left Egypt with the group of Hebrews to gain new freedom and liberation in their newborn place.

The final song is both tear-jerking and moving.

  • Tzipporah: [Moses has fallen into Jethro's Well] What are you girls doing?

Sister: We're trying to get the funny man out of the well!

Tzipporah: Trying to get the funny man out of the well. Well, that's one I've never heard before.

    [She looks down the well]

Tzipporah: Oh! Oh, my! Don't worry down there! We'll get you out! Hold on!

    [She sees it is Moses]

    Tzipporah: You!

[Tzipporah lets go of the rope, nods, and saunters away]

Sister: That's why Papa says she'll never get married.
