I just watched the second part, and it felt pretty good. The graphics and action scenes are cool, the plot is attractive, and the actors are okay. The most impressive thing is the style of the director and narrative.
Although the whole film, like many Hollywood fantasy blockbusters, is about war between good and evil, mage and vampire, artifact, and destiny, the films made by Russian directors are completely different from those of Hollywood directors. It's a little less exciting and tense, but the fast-paced plot development and the different interpretations of fantasy themes make people feel equally good-looking and fresh.
When it comes to fantasy styles that are different from Hollywood/American, it is probably due in large part to the Russian-style imagination of the original author of the novel. The world setting of the multi-layer dusk world, the different depictions of the archmage, the magic war, and the vampire, are all eye-catching.
It's a shame it's a bit of a stretch to squeeze such a complex story into a 2 hour movie. Many details and many characters make people feel that there is a wonderful story behind it, but there is no time to expand it. The ins and outs of the whole plot and the relationship between the characters sometimes confuse me. If you can read the original book, it should be very enjoyable.
I originally wanted to give it a good rating, but considering the many fresh elements that make people shine, let's give it a recommended rating.
