To briefly talk about the feelings of this series of films, I have watched the related films of the Conjuring Cinematic Universe series on and off in recent years, except "The Nun" & "The Curse of the Crying Woman". But after reading the commentary of the nun movie (there will be time to add it later), it is a prequel to "The Conjuring 2", which is used to describe the story of the villain Valak, and the ending perfectly follows the beginning of the first film of "The Conjuring" (the case of French boy crazy ), another perfect connection is the ending of "Annabelle 2: Birth" and the beginning of "Wicked Baby: Annabel". "The Curse of the Weeping Woman" is a side story, and it doesn't have much connection. The first time I knew that "The Conjuring" was on the summer night of the third year of junior high school, I watched the horror movie "Boldness" in a fitness park near our home with a few friends. At that time, I took a look at the first scene on the video software, and I still remember it very clearly to this day - Anna Bell Doll...it really scared me at the time.
"Annabelle Comes Home," which is still drawing on the dolls, also adds a new member—Mckenna Grace's Ed and Rowling's daughter, Judy. Regarding Mckenna Grace, she played the childhood shock team in "Captain Marvel", the cold Theo in "Ghost Invasion" and so on. I was so excited to hear that she was in Annabelle before. Then there are two other actors, Lulu Wilson, one of the adopted orphans in "Annabelle 2: Birth," who also plays Shirley in "Ghost Invasion." The last one is Madison Wolfe, the kawaii heroine of "The Conjuring 2". There is a screenshot that is quite similar to the classic scene in "The Shining". In the third part, Judy's nanny's high school classmate released Annabelle in a "no entry" room, causing a series of horrible things to happen. Of course, the main reason for this was that she had deep guilt for her father's death , intends to summon the spirit of the father. There are three main wraiths (ghosts) - the Horrible Bride, the Ferryman, and the Devil Annabelle, which are also transition points in the main storyline. One of the most impressive is the seemingly trivial but interesting love story interspersed in the tense and exciting plot, which can relieve depression. Of course, these are not important, the main thing is to suck Mckenna Grace's face (manually funny). The most touching thing in the Conjuring movie series is "The Conjuring 2", which is quite excellent. The ghost Valak controls the ghost, which is much better than the first in terms of plot. There are also a lot of Easter eggs buried in the whole series: the cameo of the real version of Rowling (The Conjuring 1), the real Annabelle doll (Annabelle 2, 3 twice), the hunchback (The Conjuring 2), Judy's quilt gradually bulging up and appearing The Annabelle doll pays homage to The Grudge (Annabelle 3) and more. The timeline of the entire series is also messy, and although it is a headache, it can be clear again and again. Another is related to the Western Bible (Baidu click), the red door generally implies the gate of hell, the gate of sin, or it may be the embodiment of evil power or the sin of the protagonist. American horror films, especially those about out of body, generally have a red door. "The Infernal Room/Latency" has a red door between soul and reality; "Ghost Invasion" has a red door. But the room inside represents the atrium of the protagonist's family (about fear); the doors of Ed and Rowling's family in "Annabelle 3" are also red.
At present, there are still two related versions of the Soul Conjuring series that have not been read yet, and will be added during the winter vacation. There will definitely be more series in the future, like Director Wen's "The Hunchback" (The Conjuring 2 spinoff). The Annabelle doll may come to an end for a while, but I'm still looking forward to the direction of the next conjuring movie.
