Yesterday there was a discussion about "AIDS" in the group.
One of the group friends said, "If all the people with AIDS are gathered together and set on fire, will there be no AIDS anymore?"
Admittedly, she was not serious. After all, carriers of some diseases do not have the disease and have no clinical manifestations. Such as the famous "Typhoid Mary" incident.
But this means, we all understand.
The group was silent for a few minutes.
Everyone goes around in circles saying it's inhumane, crazy, you can't concentrate, what should you do if you run away, and so on.
But no one wants to touch the issue head-on.
After watching "Freak" today, I suddenly felt that maybe, I gathered a fire... and it really disappeared.
...
The young daughter of the protagonist of the story can be regarded as a "born AIDS carrier".
She doesn't have to do anything, she doesn't have to do bad things, she doesn't have to be a rapist, she doesn't have to catch anyone and spread the virus.
As long as she exists, you are not happy.
There is a little detail in the second half of the story. When the male protagonist tried to deceive the police, and he also hated "AIDS carriers", he said: There is a carrier in our community, and if he is caught and shot to death, then the housing prices in our community will also fall.
The world is so real with TMD.
A few days ago, on December 1, World AIDS Day, the TV station made several programs to care for the patients.
Tell everyone that it's not so scary, and there's no need to make a fuss. Eating at the same table, hugging shit is nothing.
The problem is, watch TV and donate money. You said to ask a few to come over and be my neighbors, but you can't see them when you look down... that's not good enough.
What to do then?
What do you think the protagonist's little daughter did wrong?
She was surrounded by girls of the same age and shouted "freak" just like we were surrounded by "dirty" in our lives.
It wasn't her choice, she was born.
This blatant bullying.
But what can we do?
Even if you care for her, love her, donate money, help her study, set up a fund for her, find the best doctor to find a way to treat her
No, she kept telling her "you're different, you're not normal"
The protagonist, and the protagonist's youngest daughter, go to great lengths not to listen to the cry "We are ordinary people, we are normal, we are not special" in the opening scene. Why?
I don't know anyway
All I can say is, circle them and send them to some mountain
As soon as possible "superpower patients" are found, they will come forward with guns and live ammunition.
Maybe it's a trick?
Infectious Diseases, Humanoid WMD, Typhoid Mary
hey alas...
...
Finally, the story is great
Everyone, no matter the protagonist or the supporting role, finally found their home and reconciled with themselves.
The various small foreshadowings in the front are also cleverly used at the key points in the back that are enough to influence the plot.
The structure is clear and the plot points are simple and straightforward, mostly actions and choices rather than boring lines.
The plot is also compact, with the little girl gradually pulling away the fog and increasingly powerful superpower gimmicks, cleverly combining the fates of seemingly unrelated people, and triggering chemical effects.
It's a very well-finished, low-cost masterpiece that's definitely worth a look.
