Story-driven comedy

I read the book "Story" by Robert McKee to see this movie. I almost missed this movie because of its age. It is a movie with a strong story. The sequence of the whole plot, the appearance of the characters The rhythm of the film is not too much comedy burden (I think Stephen Chow's part is too nonsensical), so that the audience can see into the story. The better old film "Groundhog Day" I watched in 2019 is this one. "Raiders of the Lost Ark" feels so-so, and the film made in 2008 is even worse. The Indiana Jones whip can hardly be brushed.

Write Michael as everyone's molesting object, and write yourself as a romantic lead, John Cleese, your careful thoughts can't be hidden! (What is your obsession with fish?) It is really a wonderful feeling to listen to Pythonesque's lines being spoken by non-Python people. The script is really good, but please bury this female protagonist in the ashes of the 80s.

It's been a long time since a movie paused so many times just because of laughing until my stomach hurts.
