Ellie died, with her secrets, with her pain, no one knows exactly what happened before she died, she died to save people? Or suicide? In the end, no one cared.

The film revolves around Yili, but Yili is not the protagonist. Through a character like Yili, the director puts a group of people in a dilemma. Whether Yili died to save people was a big problem for them, and then, whether Yili had a fiancé and went on a blind date was a bigger problem for them. For Iran, a country with a strong religious color, these two problems are fatal, and because the death of Yili seems to be even more heavy, if it is not handled well, it will be a burden for a lifetime.

Director Farhad is particularly good at filming such soul-tortured events. "A Farewell" and "The Past" are all in this style. In morality and human nature, people seem to be more willing to lean towards human nature, even if the external constraints are so strong!

Of course, the film also shows us the Iranian middle-class lifestyle, modern and fast-paced, no different from anywhere else. However, when the coat is torn open, it is still the low-ranking women in Iran. For example, beating your wife in an accident. For example, from beginning to end, no one knew Yili's real name and so on.

A painful ending is better than pain without an ending. Ellie died, which is a painful thing, but she did not bring an ending, the women of Iran are still living in pain without an ending.
