I was chatting with a friend today and remembered that I forgot to mark it. I don't know how to respond to my friend's deep dislike of fleabag. Maybe everyone has their own reasons and different resonance points.
The thing that makes me think the most inclusive of the entire season is that Boo has ever said, "Because ppl make mistakes." We're all just a normalized bunch of poor people doing something wrong when we are NOT HAPPY. Just as always. All of us. Cus ppl are not happy, we "want to cry all the time". But so what? That's still OK and life still goes on. We feel hopes for moments and we are suffering all the time. We hug each other and hurt each other as well . Sometimes we thought we are done we are fucked but inexplicably been rescued by unexpected person. Sometimes ppl left us and never came back as we believed. Sometimes we all suspect ourselves being overdramatic. Sometimes even our family don't believe us.
Seeing everyone's feathers from the perspective of God is compassion in a sense. It's not merely abt fleabag but all the characters. It's not about "sympathizing with someone" on the outside, but we are all in the same infinity loop. I don't want to discuss whether fleabag is too nasty, just think of overall we are seen by others as too much, too troublesome because of some minor aspects we don't even got awareness of. Every person, i mean every single person has a good vulnerable side.
But to be fair, I think that this drama is realistic, it is on the above level. But the endlessly high frequency of stinging and hurting each other is still too unrealistic from my personal point of view lol
And, I really like the name Fleabag.
