I was lying down at midnight watching a movie, watching "The Undefeated" can save insomnia, but I fell into insomnia watching this movie. Silent films have only pictures, which are not easily distracted, and the power of warmth and humor is simpler and stronger than that of sound films.
Chaplin's play with the little boy is perfect, and these warm and humorous details are enough to pass on. The Huangliang Yimeng at the end is redundant. If you remove it, the whole film will be more symmetrical and pure.
