The power of silent films

I was lying down at midnight watching a movie, watching "The Undefeated" can save insomnia, but I fell into insomnia watching this movie. Silent films have only pictures, which are not easily distracted, and the power of warmth and humor is simpler and stronger than that of sound films.
Chaplin's play with the little boy is perfect, and these warm and humorous details are enough to pass on. The Huangliang Yimeng at the end is redundant. If you remove it, the whole film will be more symmetrical and pure.

After watching this kind of movie when I was a child, I always hoped that my mother would come to me and give me toys to play with, without my homework, and suddenly compared to other children.

8 points. Imaginative stories and pictures, a near-perfect interpretation of the "father and son" type of story. The most touching thing is the strong father-son friendship in which the two help and support each other in daily life, and the "Yu Xian" at the end is a bit superfluous. Who is this little actor Jackie Coogan? He really stole a lot of limelight from Charles Chaplin!
