I accidentally saw the "preliminary version" on ppstream, and the picture quality is just okay. After watching it for a while, I think it is very good, especially the details are well portrayed.
Some people commented that the story was too short and lacked tension. This cannot be denied, and it is estimated that there is a cost relationship. But in such a short period of time, the film uses a lot of elements, which is a bit dizzying.
character setting. I think the image of the turtle is well done. It is a little shorter and darker than the previous version, and the overall feeling is more real and believable. The four tortoises have different images. In the headquarters, Donatello is more low-key and not very impressive. The mouse master Sblint is doing a good job, and the hair is really impeccable. The monsters (including the stone statues) are generally well drawn, with some Japanese animation. Including that group of Japanese ninjas is also very cool. Apple is far from my impression, but he is not picky either.
animation effect. The version I saw wasn't clear enough, but it should actually be pretty good. For example, the turtle's skin should be very textured. The action scenes are very good, probably because of the Hong Kong studio, the martial arts effect is very good.
I think the details of the plot are also very good. For example, Michelangelo is very funny, such as some of the action scenes mentioned above (Michelangelo's skateboard scene, Da Vinci's glider scene, etc.). The dialogues of the characters all highlight their personalities. Some small plots are very interesting, so I won't talk about them here.
Overall it's a "perfect line" film that is more to my liking, although I'm a little concerned if it uses too many elements. The style of painting is relatively perfect, probably influenced by Japanese anime, not as rough as American anime. The details are plentiful, the characters are more clearly portrayed (of course, it is impossible to cover everything, after all, there are many people...), and the action scenes are also smooth, beautiful and textured. The only downside is that it's probably too short.
In other words, Slade, who we have always been familiar with, seems to have been completely killed. But in the end, the female ninja leader said (voiced by Zhang Ziyi) "Maybe I will see familiar faces"... Look forward to it.
