Because of love, you can do whatever you want, to accomplish the impossible. It's scary. A father can plan his life because he loves his son; a son can be crazy about music because he loves music. WOODY ALLEN used to write a film about a Beethoven fan, who was also obsessed with music and crazy. Lennon died because of this.
The male protagonist is lucky to finally find someone who appreciates and loves him and is otherworldly by being half insane and doesn't have to rush for a living. But what about all beings living in the world? Don't tell me the FORREST GUMP story, the winners are a minority, and they all have to make compromises.
Classic plot, classic soundtrack.
Although it's a long time ago, it's definitely worth watching many times, whether for the music, for the plot, or just for nostalgia.
