YES, I felt that a bit

Hector:
Unkissed,
unrejoicing,
unconfessed,
unembraced.
It's a turn of phrase that brings with it
a sense of not sharing.
Of being out of it, whether because of diffidence or shyness.
But a holding back.
Not being in the swim.
Can you see that?
Boy:
Yes, sir.
I felt that a bit.

YES, I felt that a bit
Unkissed....
unrejoicing.....
unconfessed....
unembraced...

This History The Boys started out feeling a lot like Dead Poets Society.
But the more I look back, the more witty I feel.
Their eloquence forced me to mobilize all my energy to understand and react.
Makes me have to concentrate and concentrate.
Can't be ignored.

It would be a great blessing to be able to be next to these eight outstanding young people in reality.

Good people can easily feel lonely.
Eight students + two soulful teachers + a strong and open-minded woman.
Make excellent people no longer lonely.
Teachers are so important to students.
Only a teacher with a soul can teach a student with a soul.

It would be a blessing to be able to be picked up by such an excellent teacher in reality.

YES, I felt that a bit
YES, I felt that a bit

"It is better to keep silent about what cannot be said"
"If it is possible to be understood, it is possible to be excused"
"History is a damn thing connected Another damn thing"

.......

YES, I felt that a bit
YES.

  • [talking about Tom Irwin]

    Headmaster: He comes highly-recommended.

Mrs. Lintott: So did Anne of Cleves.

Headmaster: Who? He's up-to-the-minute, more "now".

Mrs. Lintott: [dryly] Now? I thought history was "then".

  • [Dakin is groping Fiona, using World War I as a metaphor for his "assault" on her body. He moves his hand up her thighs but she pushes it away]

    Dakin: What's the matter?

    Fiona: No-man's land.

Dakin: Ah, fuck. What do I do with this?

    [he points to his erection]

Fiona: Carry out a controlled explosion?
