Those warm scenes are still fresh in my mind, and the movie made me relive those memories and touches

Jim Carrey's transformation. Although the ending is a bit contrived, the plot in the small town resonates with me.

When I was a child, I lived in a small low-rise bungalow by the railroad where the trains rumbled. A narrow street with a row of old bungalows.
Whenever a train passes behind the house, the whole house on the street will tremble, and after the rumbling noise is over, our old street will be calm again.

Every evening, people in a street would come out of their homes, sit sparsely on the street, brag about nonsense together, and pull home.
During the Spring Festival, the walls of the streets are filled with thousands of firecrackers, winding from the street to the end of the street. Until the time of turning the clock to celebrate the New Year, they were lit together, and the whole street cheered and celebrated together.

Those warm scenes are still fresh in my mind, and the movie made me relive those memories and touches

1.What a beautiful, peaceful and nice town, I wanna live there. 2The story is a little ordinary, the government officials are too stupid

The Majestic quotes

  • Peter Appleton: [reading official letter] "Adele Louise Stanton has passed the State Bar Examination."

    [then deadpan, to Adele]

Peter Appleton: Wow! Does this mean you're qualified to tend bar?

  • Peter Appleton: Why didn't you dance with her?

    Bob Leffert: Excuse me?

Peter Appleton: Mabel. Why didn't you dance with her? Seems to me a pretty girl asks you to dance and you say no... you came home more crippled than you thought.

Bob Leffert: [turns as if to walk away, then punches Peter Appleton hard with his remaining left hand]
