Sometimes the mind deceives itself

When I watched this film, at the beginning, I felt that Julianne's seemingly rational appearance had something even she didn't know, love.

In fact, the film has always tried to show that Julianne is not only a possessive desire for Michael, but a real love. But sometimes friendship and love are difficult to distinguish, especially between friends, not to mention they were once lovers.

Seeing so many friends complimenting Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz for their performances in this bland but heart-wrenching comedy, they are really good. And I think Rupert Everett who plays George is also very good, actually the character is in the same situation as Julianne, "I love someone who loves someone else".

Interestingly, the two pairs at the end of the film are Kimberly and Michael, Julianne and George. Kimberly and George are old acquaintances and have similar personalities. Julianne and Michael are old acquaintances and have similar personalities, but they are cross-matched; it seems to fulfill the principle of "similar repulsion" in physics, rather than "similarity dissolves" in chemistry.

The film's music, "I Say a Little Prayer," is an old 1960s song that has been revamped to be more passionate and energetic. It couldn't be better for a film like this.

Choose me. M-marry me. Let me make you happy. Oh, that sounds like three favors, doesn't it? B-but...
