I don't like watching court films. Things that are too serious in ancient times are often given a lot of meaning. The Peerless Queen is very good, there are not so many meanings behind it, and it is very entertaining to watch.
Never thought that a court film could be made so modern. I liked it at the beginning, Dunst was lying on the side of the imperial concubine's couch in court clothes, and the cake beside him showed a delightful color. The screen black, the rose-red fonts flashed, and the cheerful electronic music reminded me of the purple drunk gold fan.
In terms of plot, the first half of the story is more concentrated because there is a main line, and the second half is loose. But that doesn't detract from my love for the film.
Like Queen Mary who looks childish from beginning to end. Although from the perspective of a queen, she is extravagant and arrogant, but from the perspective of a girl, she is just a cute little girl. Dunst's playful and playful performance fully expresses this cuteness. The colors are also cute, and all those brocade clothes and jade food are shrouded in a pink atmosphere, even the sieves for gambling chips are pink and tender, not to mention those small and attractive snacks.
Those who want to know how Queen Mary was born in history through the film are mostly disappointed. Those who want to entertain themselves will probably like this beautiful story.
