American Heroes and American Spirit

The expiration date of the Sunshine Card is approaching, and there is still a lot of money left on it. Yesterday I went to see the American movie "The Great Adventure". Maybe it's because of "risk fatigue". Watching too many disaster movies will always make you breathless with horror. After a cold sweat, you get nothing, and you're a little tired. Coupled with the "old man" Costner, I am most afraid of him pretending to be "tender", and I am not optimistic about this film.
After watching it, I realized that this is not a disaster film, but an inspirational film, a hero film, and a hymn to the "main theme" of the United States. Lao Ke did not pretend to be tender, he played an old hero alive.
The era of heroes is certainly not an ideal era for people to yearn for. In a harmonious, peaceful, and beautiful society, people live in a normal and orderly way. What do you want a hero to do? It's not easy to be a hero - I suddenly remembered those "arsonists" who were fighting fires and injured, and they were born at an untimely time. However, in any era and any society, there will always be some dangerous positions, there will always be disasters big and small, and there will always be critical moments. Heroes will never be out of date. The film has shaped two generations of heroes of the Coast Guard. Americans also have their own way of writing heroes. First, they exaggerate the alternatives of these people, who are rough, withdrawn, weird, have flawed characters, incomplete families, and even commit some things from time to time. But the core of character, kindness, righteousness, and sense of responsibility, are absolutely indispensable. Enough of "depreciation", it's time to "praise", and once "praise", "boil" will make your blood boil and tears welling up in your eyes, and you can't wait to meet a bunch of bad guys when you go out of the theater!
The two generations of heroes in the film really have "eternal pain" in their hearts. The old Randall lost five comrades in a rescue, and he was the only one who survived; the young Jack was in a car accident due to careless driving, resulting in the tragic death of several friends. There is an element of self-redemption in their devotion. Dedicated to breaking the multiple records held by Randall, Jack asked how many people the legendary hero had saved; Randall replied: 22. Jack felt that it was unbelievably rare, and he would definitely think: Heroes are nothing more than... . But Randall went on to say that 22 were people he had lost. He only remembered the dead. He lives for them. I believe that the shock of these words to young people is definitely better than that of countless preaching. This is how the fire of heroes is passed down from generation to generation. They don't necessarily have very noble motives, they're certainly not nourished by a lot of political jargon, they're just driven by conscience, not even a "conscience", just instinct, just habit, just some kind of... "gentleness", but They did; maybe they couldn't be considered "righteous", but they were "dead as home". This is the American hero.
We have a "main theme", and Hollywood is also promoting and exporting their ideology. They sang "Spirit of America". What an "American spirit"! On the one hand, they advocate that people have the right to "greed for life and fear death", and they must care and care for every life, whether it is one's own or someone else's; When shooting, never be soft. Warmth and tragic are always inseparable. To be honest, I have long passed the age of being "inspirational", but I am still touched. I will never be a hero, but I shouldn't belittle them or dwarf them; with them, our society and our world will be peaceful. Don't doubt the existence of heroes because of your own trivialities!
I haven't seen our hero film "Zhang Side", and I don't know where to watch it; it won the Golden Rooster Award, so it shouldn't be bad. Foreign moons are not as round as China's, and Chinese heroes are by no means inferior to American heroes. It can even be said that China's thousands of years of civilization history is a breeding ground for the growth of heroes. It is our artist's responsibility to sing its countless "Heroic Hymns", so that the people of the world will be moved by our "Chinese spirit". But now, I always hear about heroes "bleeding and shedding tears", always hearing about the destruction of monuments, the conversion of martyrs' cemeteries into casinos, and the poverty of the descendants of martyrs; I really worry that one day, our land may well be There will be no more "long" heroes. Can a nation without heroes be a strong and great nation to be proud of? Besides, what exactly is our "Chinese spirit" and where has it gone?
Who can tell me?

  • Ben Randall: [reading off his class roster] Fischer. Why are you here, Fischer?

Jake Fischer: I'm here to exceed your expectations, Senior Chief. I'm a rescue swimmer at heart, born, bred, and water-fed. Hoorah!

Ben Randall: [dryly] Wow. I bet you practiced that all morning.

  • Ben Randall: [to his class] Can someone tell me the Rescue Swimmer's Motto?

Jake Fischer: So others may live, Senior Chief!

Ben Randall: Ooohhh, I feel safer already.
