A sense of presence, the best action movie since the Assassin League

When people watch movies, they pay attention to thoughts, plots, and so on, but there are always some movies that try to tell us that after reaching the extreme in some levels, plot thoughts are not important at all.

This may reveal a deeper thinking about the characteristics of excellent films.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is such a hearty movie.
Before this film, when it comes to fighting and refreshing films, you have to mention "Assassin Alliance". Throwing the gun, accelerating, and the super slow-motion shootout of the final protagonist running away... It can be described as unlimited creativity, and suddenly the tough guy scene featuring a muscular man's car gunfight becomes dull.

Here in "Lincoln", Lincoln, wearing a gentleman's hat and a decent suit, danced an axe comparable to a Swiss army knife in an unrealistically fluent movement, flying up and down to kill the vampire. Although I don't want to be too much spoiler, but Lincoln and the vampire chasing in the horse herd is really a magical... This idea is rarely seen in the past so many years.

All the shots in the film exist for the sake of "refreshing".
Although many shots seem to have a sense of contradiction, in the face of "refreshing", whether the shots are reasonable is not important anymore.

At the end of the film, the two-person dance with axe is a big climax. In short, the game has been played completely beyond your imagination. I have to say that in fact, these Hong Kong movies are relatively mature, but the special effects technology and the maturity of the lens make this kind of punching feel to the fullest, and it feels even more bunker.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that the ending song powerless is used as ED. . . . It's so cool.

Those who like linkin park can't miss it. This is a cool action movie with a little "Japanese" style and Assassin Alliance style. I won't have more spoilers. . .

=============
In addition, it is specially noted
that this movie is not recommended for plot party watching, and connotation party watching is not recommended. . If you see it as a waste of time, you will be at your own risk. .

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter quotes

  • Will Johnson: [entering the store, with his back to Lincoln] A stock boy reading a law book. What? Studying to be a lawyer?

Abraham Lincoln: As a matter a fact, I am.

Will Johnson: Alright, what about a little test? What's the law for free slaves in the north?

Abraham Lincoln: According to the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793, Enforcing Article 4, Section 2 of the United States Constitution: "All runaway slaves must be returned to their owners." However, personal liberty laws state that: "Anyone born free cannot be taken under this act."

Will Johnson: [turning slowly] I heard a good woman once say, "Until we are all free, we're all slaves."

  • Adam: [after Lincoln's attempt to help the slaves] Bravo, Mr. Lincoln! Bravo. You're even better then I've heard. A shame to sacrafice so many of my best men... but I needed to know if you were up to the task.

Abraham Lincoln: [being held down by Vadoma] What do you want with me?

Adam: To see you liberated. To see you rise up and destroy your oppressor.

Abraham Lincoln: [angrily] That's interesting coming from a slave owner!

Adam: Men have enslaved each other... since they invented gods to forgive them for doing it.
