K-19

Basically, there are only 3 submarine movies that I have an impression of
, "Tracking Red October", "U 571"
and this "K-19",
an American film that reflects the theme of the former Soviet Union.
Personally, I think " K-19" -19" is the best.

It's a movie based on real events.
There are no war scenes at all. There
are only accidents in a small space,
but you can still be attracted by the plot
. After 40 minutes of the film,
I will repeat it again and again I was moved by the plot once
because I was old and fragile. I

am very grateful to old Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson
for the tension and a touch of emotion they brought me during these two hours. I never thought that
the power of nuclear radiation is really so powerful. What
does it look like for people who are really irradiated
(suddenly thinking of the SARS that is raging now)
The whole ship is under the threat of radiation.
Those people are really heroes.

The final makeup of the movie is not bad

Three and a half. Catherine Bigelow’s arrogance made many male directors embarrassed. Watching her play you have to think about getting involved, squatting in the corner and fanning your mouth and crying before coming back. The loss of the film went from climax to ending in the last thirty minutes. It was too procrastinating and slowed down the whole rhythm. This is also Bigelow's old problem.

K-19: The Widowmaker quotes

  • Captain Alexei Vostrikov: We deliver, or we drown.

  • Captain Alexei Vostrikov: How are the men?

Dr. Savran: How would I know? I don't know the first thing about radiation sickness.

    Captain Alexei Vostrikov: Please...

Dr. Savran: I'm giving them aspirin. And I'm trying to prevent those who are dying from irradiating those of us who still have some hope.

Captain Alexei Vostrikov: Pull yourself together. You're an officer in the Soviet Navy. Go back and tell them that they're improving. As you say, you know nothing about radiation sickness. Perhaps they are.
