I've heard about this classic bbc for a long time, and I was lucky enough to see Fangrong until this weekend.

At the beginning of the plot, I felt that the performances of the male and female protagonists were a bit disappointing. The actors who played lizzy seemed to have a little lack of skill, while Darcy's expression was too solemn when he appeared on the stage. But soon the performances of the two of them gradually improved, until they were like flowing water together, and it was almost impossible to notice the traces of the performance. Let the fans be completely immersed in the poetic and picturesque English countryside scenery, and feel the emotional journey of the ups and downs of the male and female characters. From this point of view, it can be said that this big production has provided fans of pp with a feast for the soul that is comparable to the original.

There are also places that I personally feel sorry for. For example, in the episode where Darcy proposes to Lizzy for the first time, Lizzy's performance is a little bland. Of course, this is in line with the premise of her poor health and low mood at the time, but when she rejected darcy, she failed to fully show the aggressive and generous statement that she should have when she went from being depressed to arousing her fighting spirit. In this regard alone, it seems to be inferior to the movie version of 39 years. (Darcy's performance is perfect against lizzy's blandness.)

Also, after the two have signed for life, the dramatic scene in which lizzy tells his mother shouldn't be omitted.
Know that, structurally, the role of ms bennet in the story cannot be replaced by anyone else. The whole novel begins with ms bennet's paranoid, wishful thinking, and ends with her double or even triple her wish. Therefore, it can be considered that, from a tactical point of view, ms bennet is always too hasty, which is very naive and ridiculous. But from a strategic point of view, there is no doubt that ms bennet is the so-called wise man who is the biggest strategist in the story. The other characters in the play are just pawns in the strategic layout of ms bennet.
Although the development between darcy and lizzy seems to be unexpected by ms bennet, please don't forget that the ending between them was actually what ms bennet had clearly hoped for from the beginning, but was prematurely dismissed for various reasons. give up. What's more, without ms bennet's foresight to send jane to bingley in the rain (the fact is, the rain hasn't started when jane hit the road! This also gives a glimpse of ms bennet's true intelligence), there can be no such thing. The plot of lizzy visiting jane who is sick, and it is impossible for darcy to observe lizzy from a close distance. And without this period of observation and understanding, it is impossible for the two to persevere and finally come together.
Unfortunately, it is also dramatic that although ms bennet is willing to do anything to facilitate the marriage of jane and bingley, subconsciously hope that lizzy and darcy can be beautiful. However, the biggest resistance in these two marriages is precisely from ms bennet herself: her background, which is despised by the upper class, and her own vulgar and even bad words and deeds. (To be honest, there are several parts of her performance in the play that even I, as a bystander, can’t bear to read and would rather fast-forward and skip) It seems that this is not enough, it is her unprincipled connivance that eventually led to the farce of lydia’s elopement . And this can be said to make the first two "possible" marriages, especially the latter one, more difficult, or even impossible. (Even with Lizzy's optimistic character, he was tortured by pessimism and despair more than once.)
Fortunately, Bingley's character is tolerant and gentle, relatively speaking, the family resistance is less, and there is no direct conflict with wickham. The remaining darcy and lizzy are both unrestrained and uninhibited types who are weak when weak, and stronger when strong, so they can finally overcome many obstacles.
Therefore, it is entirely possible to say that. Without the bitterness that ms bennet adds to the story, the sweetness of the two marriages would have been greatly diminished. Darcy and lizzy can't still be so appealing today.

Lastly, 6 episodes seems to be slightly shorter in terms of length, and if made into 7 or 8 episodes, it could include a more complete plot that more faithfully reflects the original.

I have watched this drama about a hundred times, and then I responsibly said that the female lead is better than the male lead, and the lead lead is responsible for the lead and Yan female lead is responsible for acting.

It's a must-have for such a classic drama in the UK, it's super flavorful!! When Lizzy said quite the opposite to Darcy, I was going to die with happiness!! Colin is so handsome!!!!! . . Lizzy is so beautiful except her face is bigger!! The lady was so loud and over-acted. . . Everything else is perfect!!
