landscape painting

I've heard of this movie at some point and remembered it because of the beautiful title. Later, after watching The Lord of the Rings 1, I began to realize the existence of Liv Tyler. It was hard not to let people pay attention to her, but I just couldn't like her. Later I found out that she was the star of the movie.

The rhythm of the story is soothing, and the pictures are poetic, flowing with Italian style. As for the music, I'm not impressed. Because I didn't like Liv Tyler at all, I just admired every shot outside of her body, and the simple plot without sidelines. Return to the hometown, visit and pursue the footprints of the past, the once hazy love and being loved. Watching such movies, I often don't understand why those unimportant characters have to be included, including some of their stories. For a long time, I wondered if I was looking at a landscape painting or something, I just thought it was beautiful, but it didn't belong to Liv Tyler. Until the last paragraph, until the real him appeared, until she wrote off the misunderstanding with him, until his body and her body took up the whole of the shot, and even stretched out and blurred out of the shot... until this dreamy moment appeared , I realized that this is not just a landscape painting.

Unfortunately, I have not changed my mind about this beauty. On the contrary, I admire the film's camera.

I would love to watch it again.

Beauty and poetry go hand in hand, like spirits and tranquillity go together. Bertolucci's lens is like a phantom limb, faintly caressing through the screen.
