And Bettie Page, who was famous in that era, definitely deserves to be written about, but in this movie, I don't seem to see anything.
There is no character characteristic of Bettie Page at all, and the film is completely the running account of her life. If this film is likened to a painting, the director is just a painter, not an artist.
The film focuses heavily on Bettie's work, swimwear, nudes, and SM, but does not dig deep into her life, and the characterization is a complete failure. There is neither love nor disgust.
Someone who really likes movies won't walk into the theater for a few nude shots, just like someone who really likes you won't walk into your boudoir because you're underdressed.
