In the two-hour "Return", I didn't have a second to turn my head to do other things. The music/photography/plot could be so perfect. The tone of the blue-green picture was cool and cold. In the city, only empty streets appear in the camera.
Ivan's beautiful run at the beginning ushered in a seemingly indifferent father.
But 7 days later, the same run appeared in the lonely island forest, and they lost their father.
The director uses 7 days and 7 paragraphs to describe the return and disappearance of the father, which should be a metaphor for the Genesis in the Bible.
It's Andrei Sarkinsev's debut, and it's astonishing, as it was when Tarkovsky made his name in Venice.
The deceased should take a look.
