"Sky" has no soundtrack throughout, but the atmosphere and rhythm are tense and powerful, and the camera movements are impeccable and perfect.
The reason why the Oscars did not award the best foreign language film to it is inevitably political. Its huge shock and strong
political color are enough for us "outsiders" to ponder.
It does take courage for an Israeli to describe suicide bombers from a human perspective. People's understanding of peace
itself is divided, let alone the most sensitive issue between Palestine and Israel.
Part of the emphasis lies in the psychological description of the suicide bomber. After saying goodbye to his family, they begin to doubt the value of their
explosion , and the film comes to an abrupt end when he is lost on his journey. The ending was hugely controversial and,
in my opinion, was the perfect note.
