Listening to Brian eno's music, watching Mark sink into the toilet, we feel psychedelic from "Trainspotting", it is comfortable; following "Rolling Stone" reporter Thompson in "Fear Las Vegas", we feel psychedelic Feeling confused, it was dizzy; looking at the private life of this group of half-human, half-animation characters who had drank substance D in California, this time I felt confused, and it was overwhelmed. Linklater tried to use real-life shooting—two-dimensional drawing—software to complete the three steps of 24 frames per second, so that the action has a fault effect, so as to express the figure’s posture and abstract psychology after taking the medicine. Whether or not it invades the mind and body of the viewer varies from person to person. Apart from expressing drugs without any attitude, the film also uses the scenes at both ends of the closed-circuit surveillance system to show the relationship between watching and being watched, and the dualism of personality derived from this relationship. Does the omnipresent eye make us safer or more divided, as it does after a drug.
