"The dead miss the living more"

I went to see this movie because of DEMI, obviously she's old enough.

The moral of the story, two murders before and after, "three funerals" before and after, betrayal always has no happy ending.
There are also a few places that I don't understand.

I think there are 2 places:
1. "Don't forget to look behind you" mentioned in the writing board and in the water, I don't know if it has a deeper meaning.
2. "Maybe the dead miss the living more?" Did ANGUS go to get the film to destroy the evidence or to miss it?

Half Light quotes

  • Rachel Carlson: Why is it everyone paints their boats the exact same color as their houses?

Angus McCulloch: Well, that's actually a tradition here. The wife needs to be able to look out on the water and know her husband's okay.

    Rachel Carlson: That's very romantic.

Angus McCulloch: And we also get a tax-break on the paint, which is also very romantic.
