There seem to be quite a few movies like this, and the plots are pretty much the same. If I hadn't watched "Moonlight Treasure Box" and "Cinderella" in "Journey to the West" carefully before, I might have been moved by this film. It is a pity that I just watched "Journey to the West" and finally understand why so many people like "Journey to the West". Compared with the story, plot, and wonderful lines, profound philosophy, and touching ending of "Journey to the West", this film is really bad. But Nick is still pretty handsome.
Nick's special ability to travel back in time through time and space was inspired by a sudden car accident. He kept going back to the past, trying to change the direction of things, but things were always out of his control, the betrayal of love, the death of a good friend, the ups and downs of career... etc., everything was out of his control. He had to go back to the original moment and exchanged his life for a new reincarnation. Hollywood's usual heroic ending. But it's really not as touching as Wukong turning into a sunset warrior, giving the woman who looks like Zixia a deep kiss, then turning around in disappointment, leaving behind a distant back.
The love scene in "Butterfly Effect 2" is serious, but it makes people feel erotic; the love scene in "Journey to the West" is funny, but it makes people feel natural.
If the story of going back in time is a brand, "Journey to the West" is a classic big name, while "Butterfly Effect 2" and the like can only be counterfeit and shoddy. It's just that there is a version A and a super A version.
