United 93

It was pouring rain outside, because it didn't seem to have stopped, but it didn't appear to exist. Only when the wind changed the direction of the rain blew into the room, I remembered to close the window. A quiet, not prosperous city feels even more barren at the moment, but there are still green grass and trees outside the window, full of vitality and full of breathing. I think, my heart must be a little lonely.

I watched a movie, called United 93, about what happened 5 years ago on September 11. Everyone is familiar with this day. In the early morning sun in Manhattan, two buildings collapsed in the continuous impact of the plane. Many people gave their lives and many people celebrated the victory. I still remember the surprised expressions of most of my classmates when I saw the TV news, and the repeated confirmation, because it was too much like a disaster movie made by Hollywood.
In the Chinese translation of this film, there is a version called [Thriller Flight], which is very vulgar and sounds like a horror movie at first glance. Of course, life is a lot scarier than movies, and from that perspective, I agree.

Of all the hijacked passenger planes, only United Flight 93 missed its target, and the reasons vary, but the writers believe it was the death of the brave passengers and the hijackers who fought to the death. The director spent a lot of time depicting the slow response of the government and the vulnerability of the hijackers. This is more out of the need of the position, and it has become the biggest failure of the film, but it is the detailed description that is really memorable. .

Anything is precious only when it is most vulnerable, and life is no exception. When more than 100 passengers were hijacked by a bomb, and the truth continued to be revealed to the world, they knew that they were going to be victims of a terrorist attack and had no hope of surviving, and despair gradually spread. They turn to God or hide their faces and cry, regretting that it is too late, and the footsteps of death are approaching.
It is only at this most vulnerable time that we discover what we truly depend on. One woman told her husband on the phone that as long as she could get off the plane alive, she would resign the next day. Maybe they had quarreled countless times, she couldn't convince herself to give up this hard job, for money or busy fun, now she understands that a happy family is the goal of her business.
Someone called his wife and mother and repeatedly said "I love you". The three words that used to be insignificant in the past are now so heavy that any word has become a last word. If you can't make a call, you can only leave the last voice on the answering machine.

I can't imagine how their loved ones will feel when they listen to these suffocating recordings, the busy sound comes, and their loved ones disappear forever on the horizon. Time has changed, recalling the life and death 5 years ago, the fear has probably been replaced by the warmth and emotion that have been kept in their hearts for a long time. After all, at that moment, they still had the opportunity to hug and kiss by radio waves to say goodbye.

A few days ago, I saw CNN's commemorative report, introducing the recent situation of the relatives of the deceased. Someone gave birth to a posthumous child and has begun to face the difficult life bravely; someone finally found the whereabouts of his son after unremitting efforts, a blurred news photo records the final moments before the collapse of the building, he stuck his head out of the window, One last look at the world; while many more regain their composure and begin to forget the day.

Sometimes forgetting is good. In September, the autumn rain continued, and my heart was crying.
