Running Scared is filled with lingering depression. The feeling of losing a life-threatening thing and not being able to find it can only be understood.
The story structure of the film is very simple, that is, the gang killed the police and wanted to dispose of the gun that killed the police, but they lost it unexpectedly, and then there was an overwhelming search for guns. To be honest, I don’t quite understand why so many people are nervous about this gun. If Tommy who killed the policeman and Joey who lost the gun belonged to the gang, that’s all, but at least three interest groups in the film are looking for this gun Is it really so important to spend a lot of time on it?
Although the main line of the film is to find a gun, the clue character that runs through the whole article is undoubtedly Oleg. Enduring domestic violence for a long time makes this child look dark. People say that the mental activity of people who don't like to talk is the most frequent, and this child does have an IQ that does not match his age. Seeing Joey hiding a gun, he thought of stealing it, which showed that he had the ability to think; the shooting incident was carried out on the same day after stealing, which showed that he had the ability to execute. In the middle of the night, a child, with a gun, took it out and shook it at every turn, and finally managed to escape unscathed. Moreover, an abused child who met someone who was kind to him on the first day of junior high should have been dazzled by happiness, but he immediately noticed the badness of the other party and took timely self-rescue measures, which is really not easy.
The repression in the film is also reflected in some characters, the first of which is of course Anzor, whose appearance is a typical image of perpetrators of domestic violence. But through Mila's description of him, when adding the police questioning, he did not say that it was Oleg who shot him, especially he did not kill Oleg in the end. It also shows that he actually met on certain occasions because his suppressed emotions had nowhere to be released. Poor man with intermittent mania. Mila has been in depression all the time, and her final self-destruction is really amazing.
Looking back at the protagonist, Joey's 12 years of undercover work really failed enough. He didn't have enough evidence to bring these bad guys to justice for 12 years, but accidentally lost a gun and let them kill each other. If I knew it was so simple, why waste time. And in the end, he came back regardless of life or death, just to say to his wife, "I wasn't liar." It really touched me. But the ending - Khan ~, is a big reunion again.
