Is this still Gong Li?

Watching this film is actually for two people, one is the director and the other is Gong Li.

The director once gave me a very classic and amazing "The Wire". Of course, the success of that film also benefited from the duel between the two great movie stars, but the whole film was very flavorful and made me remember it deeply. But "Miami Vice" was a big disappointment to me. I couldn't even find a few scenes that made me excited or impressed, but the firefight at the end of the film is a bit like the street gunfight of the bank robbery in "The Robbery". Unfortunately, it didn't shine. On the opposite side of the film, the conflict in the whole film tends to be flat. Even if the police and bandits in this film are not evenly matched, it is better to have their own scheming, otherwise it is meaningless.

In terms of actors, it is even more stubborn, just one word: awkward! Gong Li, in particular, has not entered the state of the role at all, or this role was not prepared for her at all, not enough ruthlessness, not enough coquettish, not enough taste, no brilliance, not to mention seeing the character of the character from the performance. And the psychology of conflict, it can be said that Gong Li's performance in this film can be ranked in the bottom three of all her films. As for the other two evil stars, one black and one white, Colin's performance is not convincing. Looking at the clips of his appearance, I always feel that he is walking on a string, collapsed tightly, and his eyes are often messy and confused. Flickering, maybe this is the director's intention, he doesn't want to portray a fearless hero, but a more real police undercover.

In general, the rhythm of the film is a bit sluggish, the climax creation is not very stylized but it fails, the music is not bad, and the picture is passable, but it is far from my personal expectations.
