The paradox of warmth and mental retardation

A bit of a retarded movie in my opinion. But only the mentally handicapped can raise their arms high and give up violence in front of the police who are finally encircling and suppressing them.
It might also be described as the fatal flaw of the thugs due to a psychological deficiency. The root of the flaw is the extreme lack of warmth and love of the thugs in their youth.
Probably the stronger the masculine atmosphere, the better it knows how to protect women and children. Therefore, the participation of women and children in the war will be regarded as a shame for the country. From this perspective, it is interesting to see the so-called Mu Guiying in command. And thinking of Wang Zhaojun leaving the fortress, and so on, I don't think about it anymore.
The thug broke the woman's leg, drove the car away, found the swaddling baby and, importantly, saw the baby cry. Unbearable crying. At this time, the warmth and lack buried under the violence somehow hit the thug's empty heart. He actually took the child away. From then on, the ruthless and aggressive thugs became stupid and walked towards the psychedelic network that was woven gently. He really regarded the child as his own blood and blood, and then discovered his own survival from the child. Then he started raising children.
He saw the woman again, the woman feeding the child. The body is warm orange and crimson, and the room is collaged with colors and light and shadow that express the mood. He watched obliviously, smiled, his mouth was slightly open, and his eyes were bright and soft. The gun in his hand was down. He also recalled the brutality, cruelty, and danger he experienced.
The homeless child, under the warm call, finally in the ecstasy of being in an oasis, forgot his weapons, the ice under his feet and the sand in his eyes, he recklessly stepped into a stately house, and carefully cleaned it up. You, yourself, wash away the stains you've come across.
So, in the final siege of the police car, the thugs in white raised their arms high.
Although the previous warm scenes are still delicate and moving, I can't accept the last scene of surrender anyway. It tries to exaggerate a sacrifice, a sacrifice that has antecedents without consequences (whether the antecedents are sufficient or not). The thugs gave up violence, but were confiscated by the violent authorities. This implies that the future for people is a life of slow redemption in shackles (after the film was introduced to China, it was renamed "Redemption"). The film changes from color to gray here. I can't help but think of the sermons of the unillustrated era.
Under the premise of global violence and tension, this film won the Oscar for best foreign language film, which seems to imply something.
However, as a person, I still like the story of the gangsters escaping from the eyes of the police, which requires a little dexterity and a little bit of contempt for people who are mobilizing.
