I love watching movies, maybe Tian Wei himself is a very moving person. Even so, the thoughts that come from being shocked when watching many movies and the sighs that come from being moved by the story itself are still much more "moved" in the true sense. But I still clearly remember that at the end of the two films, at the very gentle ending that I thought was a light ending, I cried so hard. One of them is "Blue Sea and Blue Sky".
The film is about three hours long, from 10pm to 1am.
The black and white film is Greece in 1965. Jack is a small boy with melancholy eyes. He is on the mysterious and magnificent Mediterranean coast of Greece, with music advancing. He runs day and night on the cliffs and trails along the shore, and he is haunted in the sea. No words, quiet flow.
His world is as simple as living in the sun and the sea, and his eyes are fragile and autistic, which leads to another world. Jack, who has a talent for diving, knows the rhythm of the sea; another child also has such a talent, his name is Arthur, impulsive and brave. He's Jack's friend, a friendship born out of a shared fascination with the sea.
The music continued, and on a small boat, Jack and Grandpa saw their father and son dive into the sea, accident, struggle, and calm down. Jack's father was buried in the sea, a man who was also obsessed with the sea, and he was on deck a few minutes ago, confronting his son with the question of where his mother was. The music drowned out the struggle, and then everything panicked and returned to silence.
The shadow of childhood turned into another profound silence in silence, buried in Jack's heart. He sinks into the comfort of the sea, where his world is.
As time passed, the music was instantly injected with the beat of the sun, and the black and white film flowed into color. Arthur has grown into a sturdy man who traveled through the world's diving championships to break his own world record. He was looking around for Jack, and he said that only Jack was his real opponent.
Sea, glacier, sea, Jack also grew up. Gentle, vulnerable and deeply obsessed with innate loneliness, he does many rescue and exploration jobs in many corners of the world that require diving into the sea or river. In the deep sea, he roamed freely and smiled at the fish.
Later, an American female reporter met Jack in Snow Valley, South America, a simple camp and cold weather, she fell in love with him, and he fell in love with her, but there are no words to explain. Jack's first love in his life may not be his first love, because he has already given the deepest love to the sea, but he and she didn't realize it at that moment. This became a footnote to harm.
Then Jack meets Arthur. When Arthur persuaded Jack, Jack kept breaking Arthur's record in subsequent games.
She came to Jack's bedside after a game, Jack showed her a picture in his wallet, it was a dolphin, Jack asked her sadly: "This is my family, have you seen such a family? "She chose to leave Jack. After leaving, she found that she had already loved her deeply. On the phone, he told her a story about how to find the mermaid: "You have to swim to the bottom of the sea, where the water is bluer, the blue sky has become a memory, lying in silence, you Decided to stay there, with the determination to die...". When her friend discouraged her from being able to dilute everything, she said she didn't want to be dilute, and she returned to Jack's side.
One night, she saw Jack quietly running out of the villa, dancing with dolphins in the sea in the middle of the night. He was so happy in that world that she couldn't touch. One night, she helped him rescue dolphins from a playground and release them into the sea. One night, he had hallucinations, her face on the pillow kept turning into a dolphin, and the sea flooded the room.
It's not over yet. In a major competition, after Jack dived to a depth that doctors called the limit of human beings, the strong Arthur ignored the obstacles and broke the limit record and returned to the surface, and his body began to fail. Jack hugged Arthur and sat on the diving platform, clung to his only rival and friend. A man burst into tears. Arthur said with his last strength: "Jack, you are right, the bottom of the sea is a better world..." Death, a person who loved the sea died, Jack took him and dived into the sea, letting the body sink to the bottom of the sea. Jack is more silent, hallucinations are more frequent.
Finally, one night, he ran to the beach, prepared his diving equipment, sat alone on the entry platform, and then entered the water, holding the platform with both hands. She came running, screaming hysterically. It was as if he had spent all his life trying to keep him. Then he used the last reluctance in the world to say sorry, sorry. Then she knelt down and said desperately, "I have your child." The child...he heard the child. Hesitating, that is the happiness of despair. He knew he couldn't get it. No words. She didn't say anything, and finally knew what his destination was. Calm, calm after a frantic eruption. Jack, sinks into the sea, kisses the dolphin, and dies.
This is the destination given by fate, and the bottom of the sea has the love and pain of his life. Another unborn child will, like him, have a father who slept in the sea.
