There's a reason Buster Keaton is on par with Chaplin as a silent-era comedy genius.
This "Photographer" tells a simple story, a simple love story, warm and touching. After watching the whole movie, I sighed at Mr. Keaton's unrestrained ideas. He sat in the back of the car in the heavy rain, his lover and other men were sitting in the hood of the car, and he had the wisdom and courage to save the beloved girl but was robbed by others. It's really love. The originator of drama.
There is a saying in the comedy world: serious comedy is not about squeaking, it is about making you laugh from the heart. It is trying to do one thing, the whole world is against itself, nothing goes well, struggling absurdly, and it has a comic effect. From this point of view, the process of Rickaton's pursuit of his beloved girl in "The Photographer" is such a comedy process.
