The last half hour of the movie was slow and flat, but it made me cry, probably the first time this year because of the plot of the movie. There are only 2 details left in my mind to share with you.

1.

The film begins with the death of a founder named Alain. The chairman is introducing the members and asking the members to write postcards to the French president as usual.

The film ends with Sean passing away, and someone is writing an obituary for Sean, and it's not finished yet. The end and beginning of the film are coherent, and it may be that during a regular Tuesday meeting, the chairman introduces the members to Sean, who has passed away, and sends them an obituary, just like the beginning of the film.

2.

Sean cries the hardest in the entire film when his mother tells him that he has received the Adult Disability Supplement. Perhaps, he saw disillusionment at that moment. He never regarded illness as a disability. Compared with the end of life, the incompleteness of life that the disability made him disillusioned. Perhaps, at that moment, he felt ironic that he had been fighting for power with the authorities, but when he needed it the most, it was the government that helped him. Perhaps, at that moment, he felt indebted. After he fell ill, his mother would pay for the rent. In the end, what he could give to his mother was the adult disability allowance. But I think it's more likely that Sean's bravery before this is somewhat unwilling. He may not fully accept the fact that he is about to die, but when he sees her mother accepting all this calmly, Sean suddenly feels that he The end of life is inevitable.
