Sex, Lies and Videotapes

Last week's Weekend Illustrated featured Andy McDowell, a familiar face. She was honored for this "Sex, Lies, and Videotape."
This is actually a film made in 1989. The context is very clear. The people in the film represent different morbid people in this society, or several morbid aspects of people's hearts.
In the end, the director let the betrayed man have nothing, and let the woman who abides by the law of women get freedom, self, work and happiness. This is a kind and compassionate director. In the end, the man took the woman's hand and sat on the steps, and it was raining.
I have doubts about this ending. I wonder if the director is lying to me? Oh, no, it should be a young man full of infinite visions of the world. That year, the American Steven Soderbergh was 26 years old.
I like the explanation of lies in it: Lies are like poison, which can be addictive and become a habit. People rely on it to survive, and eventually they don't even believe in themselves. Lies are like anesthesia, there will always be time for the drug to dissipate.

My dear, SEX is a pure thing, don’t let the family let the faith let others go, and influence the place it wants to reach naturally.

The plot is generally guessed afterward, and it is generally good.

    Cynthia: Doing what?

    Graham: Talking.

    Cynthia: About what?

Graham: About sex... your sexual history, sexual preferences.

Cynthia: What makes you think I'd discuss that with you?

    Graham: Nothing.

Graham: I just want to ask you questions.

    Cynthia: That's all.

    Graham: That's all.

Cynthia: Is this how you get off or something? Taping women talking about their sexual experiences?

    Graham: Yes.

    John Mullany: What?

Ann: I. Want. Out. Of. This. *Marriage.*
