Doomsday and reality

I finally finished watching "The Last Days of Pompeii". This is a movie I wanted to see a long time ago. To be honest, I was a little disappointed. How should I put it? The land is not perfect. The whole plot is really too old-fashioned. The choice of friendship and love to describe the disaster scene on the side is a bit thin, and the shock is not enough, which has become the flaw of this movie. But jumping out of the movie, when the end comes, what is the most difficult thing for people to abandon? Obviously, this answer varies from person to person. Money, power, friendship, love, and human feelings are all reflected in the film. Therefore, disaster films often have a strong sense of irony and praise, and the fragility of human nature will be reflected at a glance when the disaster arrives: the light will be more dazzling, and the darkness will be more sinister. Disaster movies, sci-fi movies and other surreal movies are often more able to express the purest and unmodified human emotions, and at the same time do not accept the restrictions of the real world. Such movies can often examine human beings from the perspective of God with the third eye. It is a pity that most creators and appreciators only pay attention to whether the special effects are well-made, and ignore the surreal characteristics of such films.

Love is the focus of the whole film, just look at the poster, but how many people go for the disaster behind, not this bloody love.

"Spartacus" plus "2012" can also be considered a kind of creativity. Too much speculation leads to thunder points, but for directors like Paul Anderson, its so-called visual department is estimated to be special effects. The story is quite complete compared to the "Resident Evil" series.

Pompeii quotes

  • Cassia: Is this the end of the world? Why would the gods let this happen?

Title Card: In the darkness you could hear the crying of women, the wailing of infants, and the shouting of men. Some prayed for help. Others wished for death. But still more imagined that there were no Gods left, and that the universe was plunged into eternal darkness. - Pliny the Younger, A.D. 79.
