This film is Annabelle's third Conjuring Universe film under the title, but it's not a single demon at work in the film. Instead, it showed its other extremely powerful ability: summoning other ghosts.
At the beginning of the film, the movie said that the Warrens had just conquered the ghost doll and brought it home to pass a cemetery. Annabelle's ability was displayed: all the ghosts in a cemetery were awakened. This sets the stage for the sequel.
Back at the home of the Warrens, viewers familiar with the Conjuring Universe know that every time a demon is conquered, a demon-related souvenir will be placed in the basement, and an exorcism will be carried out every once in a while. Once, a daughter who was guilty of murdering her father accidentally opened the door of Annabelle's cabinet, which was a big disaster. All of the ghouls in the basement were awakened, turning the Warrens' home into a ghoul's Avengers base. Warren's daughter, the nanny, the nanny's friend, and the nanny's secret crush need to face the awakened demons at home. The creative team here is very open-minded, and the strangeness of many demons and objects is stuffed into it.
The degree of fright in this film is actually weakened, but due to the display of various unique demon abilities one by one, the fun is greatly increased. Especially the setting of the underworld ferryman is very full, and the person who came up with this idea is definitely competent.
In short, this film is a dance of demons, which has been upgraded compared to the previous work. Instead of repeating the tedious scaring pattern of a single demon.
