predator city

(Mortal Engines)

Re-watched a point movie released in December last year - "Predator City", directed by Christian Rivers, the film was adapted from the British novelist Philip Reeve's steampunk fantasy novel - "Hungry City Chronicles" series.

Because I rarely read science fiction novels, I haven't read the original book, but I personally like the "steampunk world" shown in the film. The special effects and details are very well made, but aside from this level, the world constructed in the film is exaggerated and less profound than that of "Blade Runner 2049".

After reading some film reviews, one of them wrote: "Blindly constructing a grand world, exaggerating urban Darwinism discussions, but failing to resonate with the audience." I recalled carefully, and there was one scene that still touched my heart. The heroine Hester Xiao met the zombie who raised him in the Mountain Country Air Alliance - Shrek to take revenge and experienced a fierce fight. When the zombie was about to kill the male protagonist, facing Xiao's tears to stop him, he stopped his revenge. The voice with the machine said slowly: "Hurst Xiao is in tears, you are in tears, do you love him?" When he said this, sparks flew from his body that was about to stop working. Also shouting "Shrek". At that moment, the emotionless zombie recalled the story of Xiao's growth when he was a child, just like his own daughter. Of course, he also recalled his own child. Hearst Xiao's shout at that moment was clearly calling Shrek "father". ", because he rescued her and raised her, even though he is a zombie! What moved me even more was the intriguing inquiry of the avenging Slack when he saw Hearst Shaw cry and seem to be in love with someone. From questioning to becoming gratified and satisfied, it seems that he has completed a certain mission and can leave with confidence. It is such a plot, but even in science fiction movies, this expression hits my heart, because this paragraph is handled very plainly, with explosive force in the plainness, and what people feel is the simplest emotion.

It's been a long time since I watched a movie, and I always thought that the world in the movie was a complete expression. Of course, some commercial operations and imperfections are unavoidable, but as long as there are one or two details that you can feel and feel—(this point ripples in your heart), this is a beautiful thing Bar?

    1. After thinking about it, I decided to give it five stars. It is true that the plot of this film is not amazing, but some so-called loopholes are not to the point of unforgivable. 2. In addition to the annoying male protagonist, the steampunk texture of the movie is amazing, and the visual effects are amazing. 3. The zombie warrior part is excellent in both plot and effect. 4. The appearance of Minions is very humorous. 5. The movie is only the first of a four-part novel, look forward to other parts.

So please tell me why they want to live on a giant retarded moving castle? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Wouldn't it be good for the mountain country to live on the ground? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? (I don't believe if the monks and the honey temples say that this is not an insinuation of Tibet) Steampunk is cool and dazzling, but it doesn't make sense, it seems to be mentally retarded. The best character in the whole film turned out to be the robot. I was so confused when I saw him hanging up on me. Can I fix it if I agreed? All the idiots in the protagonist group, especially the woman in red to force the rebels, can someone tell her that this exaggerated and charming smile should be pulled down sooner rather than later. This story tells us that the resistance army does not have a clear revolutionary program and consciousness of struggle, so please disband as soon as possible and stay where it will be cool...
