University professor Evan has a successful career and a happy family. However, Evan maintains an illicit relationship with his female student in private. A few years ago, Evan and his family had to move because of a related incident.
Detective Malloy investigates the mysterious disappearance of Evan's student Joyce. Since Joyce's body has never been found, Malloy can only find the suspect based on relevant clues. Evan concealed knowing Joyce and driving past Joyce. Malloy looked around and found that all kinds of clues pointed to Evan. Evan also gradually revealed his footing in the investigation. His wife found more and more clues related to the case, such as lipstick, and Evan had the time to commit the crime.
