I accepted this disc early in the morning, but I haven't seen it yet. I certainly don't want to miss it if I have the chance to see it on the big screen. My friend is going to fry cold rice, so I look forward to it even more. But a colleague also reminded me that the film is not "Old Boy" after all, so I shouldn't expect too much.
The result didn't disappoint me. Watching violent aesthetics on a big screen is not as exciting as a TV set. The color and texture of blood and snow, combined with the perverted plot, are extremely exciting. Compared with "Old Boy", the level of weirdness and shock is indeed a little less, but it is probably more entertaining. The plot of a group of people wearing raincoats discussing how to cut a knife made me laugh out loud.
However, at least half of the audience in the venue were very dissatisfied with the movie. Most of them came for Li Ying Ae and were misled by the title of "Kind Gold", thinking that it would be a "Dae Jang Geum" or something (or a flower girl? ) story, that is, what Hunan Satellite TV calls a "youth inspirational film", so some even brought children, and of course the result was a big surprise. (Actually, if you think about it, the tone of the film is quite upbeat.)
The two girls around me started complaining after half an hour, constantly muttering "the story is ugly", "unexplainable" and "why is it so long". But they are not the best. When the movie was over, I followed the crowd down the stairs to the exit, and saw a lady sitting on the extra seat, sleeping with a popcorn bucket in her arms, unaware that the "boring" movie was over.
Of course my friends and I enjoyed watching it, so after the show, we went to Zino and ordered a superb dark chocolate cake as a souvenir.
