Get used to seeing big scenes, don't want small ones

To put it simply, the film is a simple story of a dozen or so Soviet soldiers defending the German army for several days in a three-story building near the Volga River Ferry.

In terms of emotional drama, the branch line is the fate of a German officer who is extremely pessimistic and numb about the war and a Russian woman, and the main line is the short-term relationship between the only surviving 18-year-old girl among the original residents of the house and the Soviet officers and soldiers. It should be said that the film properly shows the emotional characteristics of ordinary soldiers of different ages and backgrounds in a war environment. In this regard, Hollywood war movies can generally only depict 5 and the director of this film has successfully shaped at least 8 of them. That is to say, the supporting characters in this film, what they show, are no longer an extension of the protagonist's individual characteristics, but beyond the specific existence of the protagonist's spirit, which is very powerful.

If there is one small regret, it is the handling of the music. The sound effects of the film are quite satisfactory. The downside is that when some scenes are transitioned, the transition of music is abrupt. Compared with the achievements of the former Soviet Union films, it is a lot backward.

The film's metaphor for female images is also full of tension. If it is said that depicting women represents a small pattern, I do not agree. The status of love is equal, but in war, women represent harbor, healing, flowers and hope to men. Many war dramas can only use love to reflect the equal participation of men and women in war, but that is not enough; this drama goes far beyond that.

In addition, the film's display of violence is restrained but not conservative. Because violence in this film does not exist to create a scene, there is only one principle: everything that is beautiful must be artistic, otherwise the performance will be dull. Some shots may have been cut, but I don't think it affects the way it is portrayed.

However, the scenes of the film are okay, although the Chinese translation is terrible.
