The nature of violence in our hearts

This movie reminded me of "City Of God" I watched at home before, one Brazil, one South Africa, which made me further confused about those two mysterious continents: their lives are really chaotic, like animals, The law followed is violence above violence, and it is lucky to live to 20 years old. Why is their way of life so unacceptable to us? Or rather unbearable, I think the reason should have something to do with the youth of these two lands.

From a cinematic point of view, I prefer "City of Angels", full of an irresistible beauty of chaos, beauty of violence, beauty of savagery. The director is the kind of person who I think has aura and an artist's temperament. It can harmoniously combine a lot of messy plots and things that make people resist to form a masterpiece with a unified temperament that can infect people with different growth backgrounds. And although "Gangster Thug" is also a masterpiece, it is relatively mediocre, because all it does is tell a story of human redemption, the story is still a good story, and it is not bad.

I would also like to focus on their music. I have always preferred black music, because I think the genes of music flow in their ethnic group. The music they make is rooted in their own instinctive needs, and music is life. Part, part, music is their language, so I'm always deeply moved. Black music never pays attention to genre, never sticks to technique. The soundtracks of the two films are excellent, and they always play a role in the climax of the film, adding fuel to the plot.
